Imphal, July 14 2023:
The Khundrakpam Kendra Youths Organisation (KHUKYO) has called for unity of all the indigenous communities of Manipur having Yek Salai (clan) system to fight the external aggressors.
In a release, KHUKYO asserted that all the indigenous people born in Ukhrul, Senapati, Chandel, Tamenglong and other districts should come together and take the stand to protect their motherland.
Denouncing the failure of the Indian Government to end the violence even after two months, the organisation shared that since the conflict broke out on May 3 last, Chin-Kuki terrorists have carried out numerous planned attacks across the State, killing many innocent civilians and destroying houses belonging to the Meitei community.
KHUKYO also condemned the attempt by Chin-Kuki terrorists to portray the present conflict as a "Religious War" and added that the fight is not against any religion but against armed terrorists coming from Myanmar and its allies.
Highlighting that Chin-Kuki terrorists have continued to bring huge caches of arms, ammunition and bombs from Myanmar, KHUKYO said, "Indigenous communities of Manipur are not safe from the threat of Chin-Kuki terrorists who are waging war to separate State only for them" .
