Black Day observance of Manipur Crisis held

Condemning alleged inability of the state government in bringing a solution to the crisis gripping the state since May 3, the Black Day Observation Committee organised "Black Day observance of the 6th month of Manipur Crisis" at Mekola market along with adopting a number of resolutions, Friday.
Those present at the observance function wore black badges and offered floral tributes to those who have laid down their lives for the sake of their motherland during the conflict as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
Speaking on the occasion, Committee spokesperson Ningthouja Lancha explained that the black day observance started a month after the present erisis broke out on May 3.Thereafter, it is being held every month to discuss ways and means to bring about a solution to the prevailing crisis.
The observance also adopted a number of resolution which include - to organise "Manipur National Conference" co-opting different organisations, political parties and different native communities of the State of Manipur, urgently; to sensitise the people about the conference - 'Campaign for Manipur National Conference' which will be launched from November 5 onwards; and formation of preparatory committee to initiate the first two resolutions.
