MSF's oath taking ceremony held

The oath taking ceremony of Manipuri Students Federation's (MSF) newly appointed members to its 20th Federation Executive Council for the term 2023-25 was held today.
Professor Naorem Mohilal Meetei, Zoology Department, Manipur University administered the oaths at the "oath-taking cum charge handling and taking over ceremony" held at MSF office located in Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Naorem Mohilal Meitei said that for continued survival of the Meitei community, unity among the people is of utmost importance.
He also stressed on the need for the community to produce good students, loyal patriots and brave individuals.

Newly appointed president of the 20th Federation Executive Council of MSF, Hijam Roshan stated that external forces have enforced a divide and rule policy in Manipur for a very long time.
He urged people to educate themselves about the "wars" between the indigenous communities, within the indigenous communities and the efforts to annihilate indigenous communities and break up the State of Manipur.
Referring to their education campaign "Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi", Hijam Roshan said that MSF will continue to spread the objectives of the campaign to encourage self-sustainability through education, improving economic conditions and bringing peace and development across Manipur.
In addition, he said that MSF will also carry out "A drug use prevention campaign" to make society drug-free and save the youth from this deadly vice.
Moreover, MSF will also take steps to set up a Human Rights Education Cell to monitor and stop instances of gross human rights violation of students, he said.
The oath-taking ceremony was graced by Ngariyanbam Milan, advisor MSF; Oinam Asnikumar, advisor MSF; Ranjita Elangbam, MSF women advisor and RK Gunikanta, consultant MSF Drug Affairs as presidium members.
