Career counselling programme held

Manipur University economics professor Dr Chinglen Maisnam said that nurturing students to make them successful individuals is essential for a better future.
He was attending a one-day career counselling and guidance programme held under the theme 'How to guide students and make them successful persons' at Wangoi Higher Secondary School on Friday .
Addressing the students who came from different schools, Dr Chinglen underscored the importance of continuing education even during the present crisis in the state.
They should pay attention in their education and career for a better future not only for themselves but also for the society.
Explaining the path to success to students, he said that the most important thing to remember while pursuing success is to understand the importance of every individual and act accordingly.
Teachers should also understand that nurturing students means shaping the future, he said.
JNIMS psychiatric department head Dr Shantibala Akoijam, Wangoi Higher Secondary School principal M Ramesh and Wangoi Community Health Centre SMO Dr N Sushila also attended the programme.
Earlier, a free health check-up camp was organised at the school campus during which consultation service and facility for blood test were provided to the students.
Wangoi CHC and Samagrah Shiksha Abhiyan (Secondary) Manipur jointly organised the free health camp.
