KWOHR rallies against police commandos

Protesting against deployment of state police commandos in Moreh, Kuki Women Organisation for Human Rights (KWOHR) organised a rally from Leisang village to the site of Wall of Remembrance, here, starting from 10am on Friday.
Around 20,000 men and women took part in the rally from Leisang village.
The rallyists then took to the Tiddim road and converged at the Wall of Remembrance near Churachandpur mini secretariat complex, where dummy coffins of slain Kuki-Zo people are being kept.
During the rally, slogans were raised demanding justice for Olivia and Florence, who were allegedly killed in a car wash, justice for the slain police SI Onkhomang and others.
They also demanded withdrawal of police commandos from Moreh and urged Union home minister Amit Shah to keep the promises made during his visit to Moreh.
Voices of resentment were also raised against alleged gross violation of human rights of the civilians in Moreh.
