Meds delivered; ailing CDO airlifted

The state government has begun delivering much-needed medicines for treatment of Dengue cases to Moreh using helicopter services.
Meanwhile, one ailing policeman deployed in Moreh was brought to Imphal for treatment via the helicopter.
In this regard, Special Commando SP Th Krishnatombi has appreciated the state Health Department and Moreh PHC for the delivery of medicines required by the people, police and commando personnel in Moreh, in addition to conducting free blood tests for the commando personnel.
According to Moreh PHC MO in-charge, after receiving a report on the rising dengue cases in Moreh, the state government dispatched a doctor of Malaria department along with the required medicines to the border town via a helicopter.
At present, around 70-80 patients exhibiting symptoms of fever, are being treated at the OPD on daily basis.
While other parts of the state are reporting almost zero cases of dengue, many dengue cases have been detected in Moreh.
He informed that as part of the measures taken up by the department, fogging equipment and test kits will be distributed on Friday.
The fogging will be first carried out in the CDO complex, police station and other areas.
Of the police commando personnel deployed in Moreh, those who are sick with dengue have been transported to Imphal by helicopter from Thursday for treatment, while their replacements have been brought to Moreh via helicopter as well.
More medicines were again brought to Moreh and ailing commando personnel shifted to Imphal via helicopter on Friday, he conveyed.
