Guv launches state-level Ayushman Bhavah campaign

Joining the momentous launch of the Ayushman Bhavah (saturation coverage of health schemes) by President of India Draupadi Murmu virtually on Wednesday, Governor of Manipur Anusuiya Uikey also launched the State Level Ayushman Bhavah Campaign held at Hotel Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, in the presence of Health & Family Welfare minister Dr Sapam Ranjan.
While delivering her speech as the chief guest, Governor Uikey highlighted the initiatives of Prune Minister Narendra Modi to ensure that every citizen of India receives good medical facilities and no person should be left out from availing medical treatment and healthcare facilities through Ayushman Bhavah campaign.
Stating that India's goal of universal health coverage will be possible only when every citizen have access to medical facility, she informed the main focus of the campaign is to increase awareness about various health schemes and to ensure that the benefits reach every citizen till the last mile of the country.
Health cards will also be provided to eligible beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat scheme as a part of the campaign, she added.
In addition, the Arogya Lakshya Seva is being promoted to provide health services to the vulnerable sections and middle class levels, she said.
Many other programmes like Ayushman Aapke Dwar, Ayushman Sabha, School Children Screening and Ayushman Gram are some of the activities planned, the Governor informed, while lauding the tireless efforts being made by the health department, especially for the poor and needy people and urged for continuing their services in the future as well.
Stating that the campaign could be called a success only when all shoulder their respective responsibilities, Governor Uikey urged for all Gram/Nagar Panchayats to work together to attain the level of Ayushman Gram Panchayat or Ayushman Ward.
She then mentioned increasing number of successful organ transplant operations in the state, while extending her gratitude to the families of the donors.
She also noted the contribution by the Health Department under the leadership of the chief minister and health minister amid the on-going strife, in ensuring proper medical facilities for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) taking refuge in various relief camps across the state.
She then reiterated the initiative of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) in providing relief materials for the IDPs after her intervention during the IRCS Convention held in New Delhi in July.
Regarding the prevailing situation in the state, the Governor appealed all to come together with an open mind and work for resolving this issue to re-establish the state's tradition of peaceful co-existence.
She further appealed to the people of Manipur not to move towards the path of violence, ignore rumours, respect each other's views and help affected people suffering from this crisis.
Presiding over the programme, Health & Family Welfare minister Dr Sapam Ranjan highlighted the importance of the campaign launched nationwide on Wednesday by President Murmu.
He said that it is fortunate for the Health Department to be part of the nationwide launch programme, after India took over the G20 presidency under the leadership of PM Modi and went on to hold the G20 summit in the country.
He observed that there are many families in the state who have not yet enrolled for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
Thus, the newly launched campaign will be introduced as part of the PM's birthday celebration on September 17, which will be held till October 2 under 'Seva Pakhwada'.
Under Ayushman Aapke Dwar, registration of eligible families will be done for AB-PMJAY and health cards will be issued to these families.
Interested persons may contact the DLOs in this regard, he informed.
Meanwhile, under the Ayushman Sabha programme, awareness activities regarding health, hygiene and nutrition will be organised at the village level in addition to NCD screening of sickle cell, vaccination, and TB screening at the state and district levels, he added.
Dr Ranjan also mentioned that the government is planning to increase blood storage facilities in the state while stressing on the need for coordination among district level coordination and Intra & Inter department to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to avail the scheme.
As part of the event, the Governor led in the pledge for organ donation and she handed over Award to Nikshay Mitra awardees.
Health and Family Welfare Department commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jha, doctors and stakeholders concerned were also present on the occasion.
KANGPOKPI: Deputy Commissioner Mahesh Chaud-hari launched the Ayushman Bhavah campaign at the ADC's Conference Hall in Kangpokpi district.
Speaking at the event, DC Mahesh informed that the campaign includes three key components namely Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Mela and Ayushman Mela at existing Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres (ABHWCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), and Sub-Health Centres.
The function was organised by the District Health Society and attended by AC to DC Hemant Kumar, CMO Dr Lamkhoneng Haokip, district immunisation officer Dr Eunice Haokip, DTO (Tuberculosis) Dr Kamkhosat Khongsai, district coordinator PMJAY/CMHT Haojamang, doctors and staffs of CHC, and ASHA workers among others.
NONEY: The district level launch programme of Ayushman Bhavah organised by Dis trict Health Society, Noney was held at the conference hall of DCs office on Wednesday.
The programme, arranged and conducted by District Health Society led by programme manager RK Bijeta Devi was launched by DC Joseph Pauline Kamson, in the presence of Noney DPO (NLEP) Dr Azin Maringmei, PHC Noney DNO (HWC) DrDei Gratia Lamlee Kamei, and other healthcare workers.
During the campaign, blood donation camps, village level campaigns led by the Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Committee (VHSNCs), cleanliness drive will be carried out at all public health facilities and medical colleges.
Weekly melas will also be held at the level of Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Centres and Community Health Centres.
A pledge for organ donation was also led by the DC as a part of the programme.
PHERZAWL: Deputy Commissioner Lalramsang Infimate along with DLOs on Wednesday attended the national and state level launch programme of Ayushman Bhavah through virtual mode at CMO Camp Office, HSA Campus.
Later, DC Lalramsang launched the health campaign for Pherzawl district which was organised by District Health Society, National Health Mission, Pherzawl and informed the gathering that 17 Common Service Centres in the district will be utilized to prepare Ayushman Cards for all remaining eligible beneficiaries enrolled under PMJAY scheme.
SENAPATI: Deputy Commissioner Mamoni Doley launched the Ayushman Bhavah at DC Conference Hall on Wednesday after attending nationwide live programme of the launch function by President Draupadi Murmu.
The programme was organised by District Health Society, Senapati and co-ordinated by Additional District Magistrate PP Ronald.
The programme was attended by DLOs, Medical Officers, CSOs, ASHA workers, Town Committee officials and village chairmen and secretaries.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Mamoni Doley appealed to the CMO, Superintendent of District Hospital, DPM, MOs, DPO ICDS, and all the SDOs/BDOs to work with dedication and give quality wealth services during the campaign period and beyond.
Medical Superintendent Dr Helen Shimray spoke on health care services that will be carried out during Seva Pakhwada, while SDO Paomata delivered the vote of thanks.
A pledge of Organ Donation was also administered among the members present.
TENGNOUPAL: The district level launch of Ayushman Bhavah campaign for Tengnoupal district was held at the conference hall of DC Office by ADC Md Asghar Arzad and SDO Md Nazmul Huda at 2 pm Wednesday.
The event was joined by officers from different departments including ZEO Tengnoupal, DIO Tengnoupal.
THOUBAL: Deputy Commissioner Ahanthem Subhash launched the district level Ayushman Bhavah campaign in a function organised by District Health Society at the hall of District Hospital Thoubal on Wednesday.
The function was attended by CMO Thoubal Dr Y Nokul, District Family Welfare officer Dr Kh Trusty and District Hospital MS Dr W Ruhiniku-mar as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
