IPR Minister-led Legislator team inspect temporary housing complex

Construction site of the temporary housing complex, for displaced families affected by the ongoing crisis, being set up near Sajiwa Jail in Imphal East was inspected by a team of Legislators of the State Government today.
The team led by IPR and Health Minister Dr S Ranjan Singh included MLAs RK Imo, K Robindro, Kh Loken Singh and S Kunjakeswor (Keba) Singh.
Speaking to the media, IPR Minister S Ranjan Singh maintained that the construction will be ready within a month.
The same is being constructed in Thoubal and Bishnupur districts also.
He added that construction for Imphal West district will also be started soon and also said that a total of 200 displaced families can be accommodated at site inspected today.
Prefabricated construction materials are on the way and will be arriving within a week and a new structure will be seen, the Minister added.
According to a press statement issued by the PRO to Sagolband AC MLA, the team also visited the relief home being opened at Khuman Lampak Youth Hostel and contributed a sum of Rs 50,000 for the welfare of around 95 women who are residing there.
The relief camp at Khuman Lampak is primarily for expectant mothers who require special attention and care, the PRO noted.
