Atrocities of Kuki militants condemned

Salaai Kanba Lup (CC) has raised serious concern over the relentless attacks carried out by Kuki militants on State Security Forces at the border town Moreh using sophisticated weapons.
In a press release, the publicity secretary of Salaai Kanba Lup (CC), Headquarters Thoubal strongly denounced the atrocities of Kukis upon the State Security Forces leading to the death of two security personnel and injuring many others.
Considering the gravity of the situation, the Lup maintained that the Government should ramp up the security measures in Moreh and send additional forces to keep the situation under control.
'The relevant authorities should withdraw Assam Rifles from Moreh since they have failed to deliver their duties efficiently in the wake of the prevailing tense situation', the release added.
The Lup went on to state that the Central Government should extend all forms of aid to the State Government to resolve the conflict situation in Manipur and stressed on the need to take up necessary steps to defend the State from the aggressors posing serious threat to the unity and territorial integrity of Manipur.
With regards to the arrest of two main accused Philip Kaikholal Khongsai and Hemkholal Mate in the killing of Moreh SDPO Ch Anand Singh, the Salaai Kanba Lup demanded that stringent actions should be taken against the duo as per law.
The Lup also urged the authorities concerned to take up appropriate actions as per law against the 10 Kuki MLAs who demanded a separate administration.
