Monsang Sports Meet: Victories for Pantha, Liwangning, WSPK

Imphal, January 17 2024: Pantha, Liwachangning Pre-Vetreran and Women Society Pantha Khupuw secured wins in the football competition of the 16th Monsang Sports Meet 2024 on Wednesday.

In the U-14 boys' group, Pantha romped past Changnhe 5-1.Ts Federal (13, 17, 39) claimed a hat-trick and Ng Michael (47, 62) netted a double for Pantha as Ng Vilyason (42) scored the consolation goal for Changnhe.

In the men's event, Liwachanging Pre-Vetreran overcame Liwachangning Pre-Veteran on penalties.

The match was decided by spot kicks after the teams remained deadlocked at 1-1 after the regulation time.

Phamshir, Konthang, Angrippa and Samuel made their shots count to give Liwachanging Pre-Vetreran a 4-3 penalty shootout win against their opponents.

The women's event saw Women Society Pantha Khupuw edge past Changning 1-0 as Esther (17) scored the decider for her team.
