State archaeology holds discussion on Vision 2035

Manipur State Archaeology organised a three-day talk cum discussion from Wednesday on the theme "Vision 2035: An Archaeological Approach of Manipur" .
The inaugural function held on Wednesday was attended by Art and Culture commissioner M Joy and Manipur University history department former head professor N Joyku-mar as chief guest and president respectively.
The first day of the discourse had resource persons and students of Manipur University engaged in intellectual exchange and exploration.
Retired professor S Ibotombi of MU earth science department delivered a lecture on "Geo-formation of Manipur" and Dr Sanjenbam Yaiphaba on "The Genes & Genetics of North-East Indian".
The primary objective of the talk cum discussion is to delve into the current archaeological findings in Manipur and formulate a roadmap for future studies in the field.
The event aims to foster collaboration among experts and scholars from various interdisciplinary subjects of archaeology, with the ultimate goal of unraveling the unexplored and illustrious past of Manipur.
