Kh Diana launches PMKVY 4.0 for IDP, trainees of MSRLM

Imphal East Deputy Commissioner Khumanthem Diana Devi launched the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 (Special Project) for internally displaced persons (IDP) and trainees of Manipur State Rural Liabilities Mission (MSRLM) at the office of KB Philanthropy-5 in Khabam Lamkhai today.
Speaking as the chief guest, Khumanthem Diana asserted that skill development training programmes under the PMKVY 4.0 (Special Project) will help improve the economic condition of EDPs in relief camps.
Participants will be trained in hand dyeing, assistant design making and tailoring and the certificates obtained will be of great value to the trainees.
In addition, they will be given financial literacy training, she said.
Laishram Manoranjan, CEO, KB Philanthropy-5, shared that the skill development training was taken up after beneficiaries were identified through a skill survey conducted by Manipur Society for Skill Development and District Administration.
In the first batch, 60 individuals will be trained at KB Philanthropy-5.The training is sponsored by MSRLM and extends over a period of 300 hours, he informed.
Stating that the trainees can acquire training in other trades at KB Philanthropy-5 free of cost, he added that courses on entrepreneurship, banking relations etc are also available.
Meanwhile, K Ronglo, State Mission Manager, MSRLM stated that the training will be conducted for four years with regular induction of new batches.
Amarjit Rajkumar, Project Officer, Manipur Society Skill Development also graced the launching programme.
