Relief materials handed over to fire victim

Bishnupur, March 11 2024:
As a part of its ongoing philanthropic activities, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Bishnupur District Branch handed over relief materials to Ngangom Chandramani Singh from Kha Sanjenbam Makha Leikai in Bishnupur district.
Chandramani incurred immense loss due to an arson on the intervening night of March 7 and 8 .
The relief materials were handed over under the aegis of the District Administration Bishnupur and IRCS Manipur State Branch.
It may be noted that Chandramani incurred heavy losses estimated to be around Rs 42 lakhs in the fire which destroyed his house, outer house and poultry farm.
A team of IRCS Bishnupur District Branch comprising of Dr H Romen (secretary), H Shyamchand (joint secretary), H Ronibala Chanu (publicity and public relations co-ordinator) and life members namely Dr M Ranjit, M Ahongjao and L Naobi were present at the occasion.
The team presented relief materials including blankets, hygiene kits, tarpaulin etc to Chandramani to provide some relief amid this tough phase.
Chandramani also extended gratitude to the IRCS team for the noble gesture.
