Special project of PMKVY 4.0 launched

Imphal East deputy commissioner Khumanthem Diana on Monday launched a special project for the internally displaced persons and trainees of Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 in a function held at the office of KB Philanthropy, Khabam Lamkhai in Imphal East district.
Addressing the gathering, DC Diana highlighted the importance of projects like PMKVY in improving the livelihood of displaced people by enhancing their source of income.
Certificates to be distributed to participants of the training organised under the project will help in availing benefits of government schemes, she informed, adding that there will also be module for financial literacy.
Moreover, Mudra loans will have additional subsidy amount for displaced people, Diana informed.
According to KB Philanthropy chief executive officer Laishram Manoranjan, the skill development training programme is being organised following a skill survey conducted by Manipur Society for Skill Development through the district administration of the displaced people living in relief camps.
