Ramadan greetings pour in

With the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, many in the State have extended their heartfelt wishes to the people of Manipur, especially the Muslim community.
Stating that Ramadan is a sombre period of spiritual reflection, daylight fasting and increased charitable behaviour of Muslims, Chief Minister N Biren Singh has urged people to imbibe the teachings of Prophet Mohammed of promoting peace and enduring happiness.
"May the holy month of Ramadan take our State and our people closer to peace and normalcy", said the Chief Minister in a statement.
On the occasion, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, MLA, Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency said in a statement that Ramadan is a time for spiritual introspection, renewal and self-betterment.
He urged people to embrace the essence of Ramadan by fostering empathy and service towards others, to support the less fortunate, whether through donations, volunteering or advocating for marginalized communities.
MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan has expressed hope for this Ramadan to bring peace, prosperity and spiritual enlightenment.
In addition, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) have also conveyed warm Ramadan greetings to the people.
In a statement MPCC said "May the arrival of the sacred Roza (fasting) month bring prosperity, harmony, development for all and banish violence, turmoil and envy from the land" .
Extending Ramadan greetings, AMUCO wished for the prosperity of all communities in the State.
It also urged all communities to foster the bonds of brotherhood with the coming of the holy month of Ramadan.
