CYCLONE record fifth straight victory in Elite Tournament

Kishan Laishram's all-round show and Loitongbam Santosh Meitei's century powered CYCLONE to a massive 114-run win over MPSC in their MNCA Elite Tournament league tie on Tuesday at Cherapur, Thoubal.
This was CYCLONE'S fifth straight victory.
Put in to bat, CYCLONE set a challenging target of 296 for their opponents, losing eight wickets in the process.
In the innings, opener Loktongbam Santosh took centre stage with a masterful 106 off 85 balls.
His knock included 12 fours and six sixes.
Kishan Laishram, on the other hand, made his mark with 60 off 38 balls.
Nikash Singh was another notable contributor to CYCLONE'S total as he hit 52 off 29 balls while Longjam Ronald Meitei scored 26, Aditya got 17, Rohit Moirangthem contributed 12 and Aribam Ronald Sharma was unbeaten on 6.For MPSC, Keisham Kennedy and Soubam Kingson took two wickets each while Indraban S Koijam, Sarangthem Shangker and Potsangbam Bonem bagged one each.
In reply, MPSC wilted under pressure and ended up managing 181 after being bundled out in 33.3 overs.
CYCLONE relied on Kishan Laishram, Longjam Ronald and Bikash to cause the damage to the opposition batting lineup and register a comprehensive victory.
The trio's efforts yielded eight wickets as Kishan and Ronald claimed three scalps apiece while Bikash picked up two.
Loktongbam Santosh and Laishram Roshan chipped in with a wicket each.
For MPSC, Sagolsem Sunil scored an unbeaten 84 off 86 balls to be on the losing side.
Kishan Laishram earned the man of the match accolade for his 60 runs and three wickets.
With the result, CYCLONE sit atop the group standings with 10 points from five matches.
