ESU enter 2nd MNCA Superplate Tourney final

ESU-Wangkhei Palace Compound reached the final of the 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament by defeating KSDO by 229 runs at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak in the second semi-final match.
ESU racked up a total of 251 runs for all wickets down in 39.2 overs after electing to bat first but KSDO staged a walk-out at 22 for 2 in 4.2 overs in protest against a decision of the umpire.
Eventually, ESU were declared winners by 229 runs and will play PTCC in the final on May 3 .
Earlier in the ESU's innings, Chongtham Mehul Shreth had struck 7 fours and 1 six in 82 deliveries to add 65 runs to his team's tally.
Thokchom Nishikanta (40) and Sanatomba (35) also played their part well to steer their team to 251 runs.
KSDO's Md Shamir Khan (2/46 in 8 overs), Lakimbur (2/34 in 8 overs) and Shahjahan (2/48 in 8 overs) shared six wickets in this innings as Sangomshumpham Shah Nawaz managed one.
Chitaranjan Sharma and Hemchand Yumkham had a wicket apiece to reduce KSDO to 22 for 2 in 4.2 overs.
