Art of Living course conducted

Sajik Tampak and Sehlon battalions of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) conducted five-day of stress management course for troops of Assam Rifles as a part of Art of Living' initiative by Ministry of Home Affairs from April 24 to 28 at Sajik Tampak and Sehlon in Chandel district.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the programme Was well received by 80 personnel of the Battalions.
The personnel immensely benefitted from the course not only mentally but also physically.
The course has also given the individuals mental peace, happiness and positive attitude towards the life that will go a long way in achieving inner peace and good health.
The Battalion also conducted a six-day seminar on stress management by a disciple of 'The Art of Living', an NGO having worldwide presence, founded and inspired by Padma Vibhushan' Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar, a world renowned humanitarian and teacher.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that during the seminar, individuals diagnosed with hypertension, alcohol dependency syndrome (ADS), obesity and other stress related issues were identified and brought forward to attend the same.
Brahmachari Laishram Dixon, a disciple of Sri Sri Ravishankar, came as a teacher for the seminar, which focused on the principles of stress management such as meditation, sudarshan kriyas, yoga, secrets of balance and stability in life, anger management, etc.
It also included various activities and assignment on daily basis along with revision.
