RCA cruise to second straight victory in MNCA U-19 Men's Tourney

RCA-Lilong eased to their second straight win in the ongoing 1st MNCA U-19 Men's Tournament Group A by crushing YWC-Langthabal by 110 runs today at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
RCA posted a sub-par total of 196 runs for 7 wickets in 40 overs but rode on Zamir Khan's allround performance to bowl out YWC for 86 runs in 28.4 overs and help his team secure the huge victory.
RCA had a slow start and were slumped to 33 for 3 in 5 overs before Syed Hussain (51 off 65 balls, 6 fours and 1 six) and Naeem Ahamad (69 not out off 60 balls, 4 fours and 2 sixes) both hit half centuries to set up the recovery path and end the innings at 196 for 7.

Sorokhaibam Dailish was the star bowler for YWC-L as he picked three wickets (3/27) while Seram Robinson, H Manikanta and Kangjam Thoithoiba shared a wicket apiece.
In the chase, YWC never looked in contention and eventually fell for 86 runs for all wickets down in 28.4 overs as Zamir Khan broke the backbone of the YWC batting order by despatching four batters including the last wicket to emerge with the best bowling figures of 4/20 in 5.4 overs.
Earlier, Md Illiyas earned the breakthrough by removing both the openers including highest run getter Seram Robinson (25).Imtiyas Khan also picked two wickets for 9 runs while Aziz Mirza claimed one to set up the YWC batting collapse.
Zamir Khan of RCA who added 20 runs off 41 balls and picked four wickets was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College ground, CRAU-Khamnam Bazar thumped MPA by 7 wickets for their first Group D win in two matches.
MPA who won the toss and opted to bat first were bundled out for a paltry total of 109 runs in 30.5 overs despite Lucky Elangbam's 85-ball 50 with CRAU's Khumanthem Prakash (4/23) rattling their batting line up with the assistance of Sanatomba K (2/20) and Kh Lohitsun (2/15) .
Wahengbam Nareshkumar added 22 runs in this innings which also saw H Joyhenba and Yohenba pick a wicket each.
CRAU then rode on Ph Jodash's unbeaten 54 off 27 balls (6 fours and 2 fours) and Sanatomba K's 34 to seal the victory within 13.5 overs with 7 wickets left to spare.
Soram Naoboy picked two wickets for MPA as Elangbam Rohit claimed one.
Kangabam Sanatomba who picked two wickets and scored 34 runs was declared man of the match.
