Medical camp, drawing competition organised

Imphal, April 29 2023:
Joupi Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp at SL Changpol in Chandel district on Saturday to provide health assistance, check-up and treatment services to people from the remote village located at Indo Myanmar border.
A total of 54 patients were treated and medicines provided to the needy people, said a PRO IGAR (S) release, adding that the villagers were also guided on the ways to live a healthy and disease free life style through various hygiene and eating habits.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) organised a drawing competition under "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" at St Anthony's School, Machi in Tengnoupal district on Saturday.
According to the PRO IGAR (S), a total of 120 students attended the event which culminated with a fruitful interaction.
"Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", an initiative by the Government of India, was celebrated by the Assam Rifles to create awareness amongst the students regarding their crucial role in 'nation building' .
