U-17 Women's World Cup star H Shilky returns to warm reception

U-17 Women's World Cup star Hemam Shilky were accorded warm receptions by various organisations in the Moirang area today.
Shilky, daughter of Hemam Suresh and Hemam (O) Biteshwori of Moirang Konjengbam Leikai, featured for hosts India in the ongoing age group event as defender.
The formal reception programme was organised by Konjengbam Leikai Youths' Welfare Association at the association office today.
The programme was graced by Khadrakpa Salam Ibochouba Singh of Phamnaiba Cheirap Loishang of Ibudhou Thangjjng Moirang; Retd EO Konjengbam Mohendro Singh, village elders including K Ibomcha, H Babuchand , All Moirang Apunba Meira Paibi Ima Lup's president K Padamo among others.

The young India international was not only encouraged for being a part of the Indian team but also presented gifts by various individuals and local associations including Konjengbam Leikai Youths' Welfare Association, AMOFA Academy, Happy Club, Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup etc.
Speaking at the occasion, Shilky Heman shared her experience at the group stage competition of the gala event being hosted by India.
Confessing that she was quite nervous in the Group opener against a strong USA team, Shilky said that she was able to ease some pressure in the remaining matches even as the results were not desirable ones.
Playing at such a world class event was indeed a memorable moment and the event provided many opportunities and experiences that will be useful in the long run, she said while exuding confidence that team India will surely take it as a learning opportunity and will gradually improve in years to come.
Maintaining that foreign coaches and support staff are doing their best to help guide the team in the right path, Shilky also expressed wishes to improve herself and be in the Indian team in the near future.
