BCCI A and A Cricket meet Manipur trounce ArP

A fiery spell of five wickets from 12 overs and conceding only 33 runs in the process from Langyamba helped Manipur trounce Arunachal Pradesh by 8 wickets in the BCCI A and A Cricket tournament currently underway at Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
Manipur won the toss and decided to put Arunachal Pradesh to bat.
This decision proved successful as the bowlers from Manipur managed to extract the right amount of bounce and swing to bundle out Arunachal Pradesh for 76 runs in 41.5 overs.
The other wicket takers for Manipur were Sultan with 2 wickets in 3 overs, conceding 11 runs followed by Thomas, Sunil and Suraj with one wicket each.
Set a very modest target of 77, Manipur easily notched up 78 runs for the loss of two wickets in 9.3 overs.
Md Abdulla Mughal led the charge for Manipur scoring a quick 42 runs off only 33 balls, followed by Y Karnajit with 22 runs not out off 19 balls and K Priyojit with 7 runs off 6 balls not out.
The domination by the players from Manipur was complete.
Tomorrow, Manipur will take on a strong Bihar.
U-16 players named : The Manipur Cricket Association named the U-16 players who will represent the State at BCCI A and A Tournament.
All the selected players have been informed to report to the officials at Luwanpokpa Cricket Stadium on March 9 at 9 am sharp.
The selected players are L Santosh, L Johny, Ng Johnson,Somit Dev, Ng Bikramjit, L Shitoljit, L Shushil, S Mangalsana, Ng Jameson, Th Parikhomba, RK Rex, Ch Bidash, Th Milan, L Deepu and W Dayananda.
