Imphal, March 07, 2014:
Instead of fielding any of its active members, Congress party is mostly likely to put up a 'hired candidate' in the Lok Sabha election in Inner Manipur P/C, stated BJP State unit president Th Chaoba.
Welcoming people who have joined BJP anew, Chaoba said that the Congress is still unable to name its candidates for the Lok Sabha election.
With Congress party unable to put up a candidate of their own, there is a strongly likelihood of hiring and fielding an outside man as their candidate in Inner Manipur P/C even though the particular man has not yet joined Congress party.
With more and more distinguished political activists and educationists joining the party, the party's strength has multiplied manifold and the party is now confident of securing landslide victories in both Outer Manipur P/C and Inner Manipur P/C, Chaoba confided.
As no ample time is available for election campaign, a number of rallies planned by the party have been cancelled and they would be replaced by road show cum street corner meetings.
Candidates as well as leaders of the party would speak at the election meetings.
Those who joined BJP today were Education (S) retired Director Th Shamungou, Kom Tribe Union chief advisor Lalkhopao Kom and M Dhanabir, son of sitting Trinamool Congress MLA M Kunjo.
They have been admitted in BJP.
