PTCC beat KCC by 59 runs to reach MNCA Superplate Tournament final

PTCC, Patsoi claimed a 59-run win over KCC, Kongba Bazar to secure their place in the final of the 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament 2022-23 at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, Imphak East on Friday.
It was Paonam Champion Singh who top-scored for PTCC with his 85 to help the Patsoi side reach 200/10 in 39.1 overs after they chose to bat first.
Other contributors in their innings were G Gomi Sharma (21), Andyroshan Mandingbam (17), Yambem Kaikuyamba (16), Sohail Akram (13), Naorem Victor Meitei (12), Dominic Moirangthem (11), Shapam Kenjit (5) and Hijam Hemachandra (4) .
In the process, three of PTCC's wickets fell to Hijam Boba, two each to Yumnam Sheiteendra and Wahengbam Somorjit, and one each to Keisham Basantakumar and Kisan Wahengbam.
In reply, KCC batters found themselves at the receiving end of fiery bowling spells from the PTCC bowlers and they ended up being bundled out for 141 in 35.4 overs.
Sohail Akram, Naorem Victor and Dominic Moirangthem ripped apart the KKC batting lineup and turned the game in their team's favour as the PTCC trio finished with three scalps apiece.
Nongmaithem Dijaraj (41), Nameirakpam Arbin (21), Hijam Boba (15), Ningombam Tony (14) and Kishan Wahengbam (12) were the batters who could score in double digits for KCC in their run chase.
Paonam Champion Singh was adjudged the player of the match for his 85 off 113 balls.
ESU, Wangkhei and KSDO, Kiyamgei will fight it out in the second semifinal match on Saturday, April 29 .
