KASC, SCCC victorious in 1st MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy

SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai beat PCC, Mayai Koibi by 4 wickets as KASC, Khomidok trounced TRAU by 256 runs in the ongoing 1st MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy.
In a Group C match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, KASC won the toss and piled up a huge total of 352 runs for 7 wickets in allotted 40 overs after electing to bat first.
KASC then bowled out 10-man TRAU for just 96 runs in 22.1 overs to kick off their Group C campaign on a bright note.
For KASC, Bm Irfan scored the highest 67-ball 101 followed by Washim Akram (26-ball 60), Khulakpam Rahish Khan (59-ball 45) and Bm Afsar (27 not out in 10 deliveries).

Athokpam Secterjit managed three wickets in this innings as Subham Raut and Yendrembam Bharatngamba picked two wickets each.
In reply, TRAU failed to withstand Muhammad Ali Karim (5/23) who picked a hattrick in the 21st over and eventually ended up gathering 96 runs for all wickets down in 22.1 overs thanks to Birbal Irom (34) and Shivestian Gurumayum (27) .
Khulakpam Rahish also grabbed two wickets to set up the batting collapse.
Md Ali Karim was eventually named man of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College Ground, SCCC chased down a target of 197 runs in 29.3 overs with 4 wickets left to spare to post their first win (Group B) .
PCC could muster only 197 runs for 8 wickets in 40 overs despite Takhelmayum Vikash's and some notable knocks from Mairembam Lucky (25) and Pravin Kumar (24 not out) .
SCCC's skipper Basant picked three wickets for 25 runs in this innings as Ankit Prasad claimed two and three others managed a wicket each.
In reply, Basant led the scoring by hitting 7 fours and 6 sixes en route to his unbeaten 94 off just 69 deliveries to steer his team to winning 203 in 29.3 overs.
Ankit Prasad (21) and Abdul Kaif (24) also contributed to the team's tally.
PCC's Laitonjam Anjan had the most wickets (3/32) in his spell of 5 overs while his teammate M Lucky picked two wickets.
