Imphal, April 28 2023:
Apunba Imagi Machasing(AIMS) has raised suspicion over the recruitment process for various posts at RIMS, wondering whether the hospital authority is trying to recruit their relatives/ connections illegally.
Addressing a press meet at its Kwakeithel office, here, on Friday, AIMS joint general secretary Thonglen Longjam said that the then administrative officer (i/c) issued an advertisement on June 18,2022 for recruitment of an office assistant on one-year contract basis.
The typing speed test for the post was notified to be held from July 26 to 28 of the same year but no further information or action about the post has been released since then.
After a long period of silence, the deputy director (Administration) issued a notice on February 8 this year informing that an interactive session along with a typing speed test would be held on February 10 .
Another notice was issued by the deputy director on February 9 that four more candidates were eligible for the typing speed test, which is highly suspicious.
On February 10, the hospital authority issued two notices.
The first stated that an interactive session of the selected 43 candidates for the typing speed tests was held at the conference room of the director, while the second notice declared the names of the 10 candidates selected for the post of office assistant on contract basis and instructed them to collect their appointment orders from RIMS A-block within seven days, he conveyed.
Although both notices were issued by the deputy director (Administration) of RIMS, the posts were not approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As such, there is no reason for the people not to believe that the posts are bogus.
Thus, Thonglen urged the government and the authority concerned to look into the matter and rectify the same at the earliest.
