Many attend Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit events

TENGNOUPAL: The ninth 'District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit' in respect of Tengnoupal district was held at conference hall of Deputy Commissioner, Tengnoupal office on Friday.
At the programme, DC Ranjan Yumnam and district level officers (DLOs) interacted with the village heads/chairmen/CSOs.
He also instructed the officials to give more awareness on various schemes of government and expedite all the pending applications.
Among others, the Health Department opened a stall of Jan Aushadhi and provided medicines at subsidised rate to 28 people along with conducting free health checkup, two immunisation, 11 Lab tests and screened 38 people for Chief Minister's Health for All (CMHA) scheme; Forest Department distributed 341 tree saplings to over 30 individuals; Horticulture & Soil Conservation distributed 59 bags of ginger, 40 bags of turmeric and 720 Kachai Lemon saplings to 19 beneficiaries and ICDS officials gave nutrition awareness and distributed Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) benefit to one person.
Similarly, Social Welfare issued three Unique Disability ID (UDID) registration forms, one CM Widow Pension Scheme and two maintenance grants for des titute older person; Education Department distributed sanitizer and deworming banner to six schools; PHED tested seven water samples and Handloom & Textiles distributed Pehchan cards to 45 beneficiaries.
KAMJONG: 'District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit' for Kamjong district was organised by the district administration at Mawai village playground, which is around 10 km distance from Kasom Khullen sub-divisional headquarters on Friday.
DC Rangnamei Rang Peter, SP P Manjit, top police and civil officials, and DLOs of various departments in the district attended the event and heard grievances of the public as done in preceding months.
During the event attended by hundreds of public, a total of 35 district departments opened mobile stalls to cater to the demands and grievances of the public.
Among the most active stalls were the CMO, ICDS, DSWO, MSPDCL, District Forest Office (DFO), DIO, CAF&PD, SDO office, etc.
Rangnamei also distributed welfare items and cards of various schemes of different departments to the beneficiaries including four scholarship sponsorships presented to beneficiaries of the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) under the Social Welfare Department.
District office of CAF&PD also distributed NFSA cards to 114 beneficiaries as DFO handed over saplings of Lei-hao, Bokul and Mukthrubi varieties to the villagers free of cost.
Punjab and Sind Bank distributed passbooks and acknowledgement cards of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) to the customers.
District Horticulture Office distributed double-cropping seeds to 20 beneficiaries and DSWO welfare benefits to the villagers.
CMO Kamjong also redressed the health-related grievances of the people who turned up at the event.
NONEY: The 9th Edition of 'District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit' was organised by the district administration at Ha village community hall, Haochong sub-divisional headquarters On Friday.
The programme was attended by Noney deputy commissioner Joseph Pauline Kamson, SP T Nimai, ADM Stiff Khapudang and ex-ADC member, Haochong B T Thambou as presidium members.
Altogether, 21 stalls of different departments were set up for public interaction and on- spot resolution of issues raised during the event.
As a part of the event, red blankets were distributed to the village chairmen/elders.
Tree saplings,-seeds of horticultural crops, textbooks and uniforms for students, gun license, birth certificates, Old Age & Widow, Cards were also distributed to the beneficiaries.
A free medical check-up with blood/sugar tests was also conducted by the Medical Department, while Anti-Rabies Vaccination drive was conducted by Veterinary Department.
Several memoranda for infrastructure developments in Haochong block were submitted to the DC by the village authorities at the programme.
Later, the DC and his team visited the on-going construction site of SDO office, girl hostel, transit quarters for medical staff/teachers, etc.
