REYS jump to fourth spot as SCCC outplay Muvanlai

REYS gained one spot to move up to fourth place in the MNCA Elite Tournament after beating MPSC by 62 runs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Batting first, REYS set a 219-run target for MPSC after being dismissed in 37.1 overs.
Opener Sougrakpam Shang-kar top-scored for his side with 51 off 34 balls.
Paul Zomi (49), Yungkham Romario Roy (44) and Alfred Hmar (20) were other key contributors in their innings.
REYS then produced a sublime bowling performance to end MPSC's run chase in 33 overs for 156 as Potshangbam Bonem's 62 off 45 balls went in vain.
Shangkcr (17), Sudesh (15) and Kennedy (15) were other run-getters in double digits for MPSC.
Yungkham Romario Roy made light work of MPSC's batting lineup, claiming four scalps.
Kiran Laishram also impressed with the ball with three wickets while Md Basir Rahman, Nanao Laishram and Alfred I Imar chipped in with one apiece in their emphatic tri umph.
Earlier, Kennedy picked up three wickets, Bijoykumar, Shangkcr and Kingson bagged two each, and Indraban took one for MPSC.
Yungkham Romario Roy earned the man of the match accolade for his all-round display of 44 runs and four wickets.

REYS dislodged TRAU from the fourth place in the standings with 13 points from 11 matches.
Meanwhile, SCCC notched up a 20-run win over MODEL to register their second victory from their nine games.
SCCC, however, remained in the relegation zone.
Put in to bat, SCCC scored 173/7 in 28 overs with helpful contributions from Lishan Khaidem (59), Jaali Ahmed Chisti (45) and Laishram Ronson (14).In the process, the side lost three wickets to Somorjit and one each to Sunil, Dibak and Robertson.
In reply, Deepak (32), Bipinkumar (29), Somorjit (24) and Ronal (18) got some decent scores but their efforts weren't enough as MODEL were bowled out for 153 in 27 overs.
It was a collective bowling effort that set up SCCC's victory with Basant and Lishan Khaidem taking two wickets each as Sandeep Chakraborty, Rakeshwor Republic Hidangmayum and Oinam Pradeep took one apiece.
Kishan Khaidem, who scored 59 off 60 balls and took two wickets, walked away with the man of the match trophy.
