PREPAK dubs peace talk part of India's hidden agenda
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, March 25 2023: In connection with the 43rd Red Army Uprising Day of its armed wing Red Army observed every year on March 26, the proscribed People's Revolutionary' Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) interim council chairman Aheiba Angom has extended revolutionary salute to all the 'oppressed people living under the tyranny of India's supressive rule' .

The PREPAK leader also extended his best wishes to revolutionary groups in WESEA region and the world.

The interim council chairman said that PREPAK and like minded revolutionary groups of the WESEA region have been continuing the revolutionary movement for restoration of the independence of the erstwhile Kangleipak an Asian sovereign state which remained a sovereign nation for more than 2000 years before forcibly annexed to the Indian dominion.

According to Aheiba Angom, the nation al liberation movement for the restoration of the lost independence of Kangleipak is being portrayed as a movement of some few people to the world.

India has al ways been trying to mislead the world by branding the legitimate national liberation movement as extremism or terrorism and this act of India is an attempt to cover the fire with blanket.

The liberation move ment being undertaken by PREPAK is to restore the lost sovereignty of the erstwhile Kangleipak nation that has been crippling under the wrath of Indian occupational army, Aheiba Angom said in his message on the occasion.

The PREPAK leader further said that the so called 'merger agreement' was made in clear violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international laws.

The then king of Kangleipak was just a nominal head with no legitimate power to entertain any treaty.

Besides, there was neither referendum nor plebiscite conducted to get the assent of the people of Kangleipak.

If sincere enough and harbinger of democracy as well as messenger of decolonization as in the case of Palestine, India could have conducted a referendum or plebiscite to get the mandate on whether the people of Kangleipak would prefer to become a part of India or exist as an independent nation with bilateral agreement, the democratic standards followed by the international community for resolving conflict are not followed by India till today.

On the other hand, the present NDA government like the previous regimes has been inviting armed opposition groups in Kangleipak to lay down arms for peace talk in the name of bringing peace and security in the region.

However, PREPAK considers this as a hidden agenda of India to show the peace-loving people of Kangleipak as a violence loving nation to the world.

India should know the root cause of the Indo-Kangleipak conflict which rose from the Indian annexation of Kangleipak on October 15, 1949 in clear violation of international law.

Since then, the Kangleipak people have been launching various forms of resistance movements of which the National Liberation Movement has been the high est form to drive out the Indian occupation forces from the soil of Kangleipak and restore the lost sovereignty of Kangleipak, Aheiba Angom said.

According to Aheiba Angom, India must also know that Kangleipak people never want a single square inch of the territory of imperialist India.

The Indian campaign in the international fora that there is no independent movement in the WESEA region has been outrightly rejected by the declaration of several armed-opposition groups as outlawed organizations under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967.The proceedings of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) recommending India for a political resolution of the Indo-Kangleipak conflict has given recognition to the freedom movement in Kangleipak as a legitimate national liberation movement under the purview of the international law, he said.

While ridiculing India's claim of being the largest democracy in the world, the PREPAK leader said that corruption has been deep rooted in the Indian polity wherein elections are held with horse-trading and use of muscle and money power amidst corporate sectors intermingling with the decision making of the imperialist government of India.

The fate of the Fourth pillar of democracy - the media has been brutal -ly gagged.

Except very few pro-government pseudo media houses, the vast majority of the journalist community has been under regular threat, intimidation and silent killings by the state sponsored terrorism, hooligans and government thugs and dacoits.

Print or electronic media that criticize the government's policy and programmes are very often put behind bar under draconian laws.

Shutting down of internet and banning of the functioning of foreign media in Kashmir and the WESEA region have clearly depicted the Indian colonial rule.

In stark reality, the Kangleipak people should not fall prey to the dreams and aspirations of few Indian puppets who drcam of a better India but will never happen as India is slowly disintegrating with various forms of regional disparities and nationality questions.

India has never been a nation nor is it now and will never be, Aheiba Angom said in his message.

While stressing the need for special mention about the con -tinuous efforts of the United Nations specially its subsidiary organ the 'Decolonization Committee' for wiping out colonialism from every square inch of the planet by giving due recognition and diplomatic support to all national liberation movements of colonial peoples and countries in the emancipation of their right to self-determination, the PREPAK leader said that more than 80 countries got liberated after the inception of the United Nations on October 24, 1945.The firm stand of the United Nations to terminate colonialism has been clearly reflected in the successive statements of the UN chief Antonio Guterres in 2018 and 2019 in the opening session of the UN Decolonization Committee.
