Leaders' Day, Meeyamgi Numit held at Tengnoupal

Tengnoupal district's 8th District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit was held on Friday at the office complex of the deputy commissioner (DC).
During the event, Tengnoupal DC Ranjan Yumnam and superintendent of police B Goulianmang along with the SDOs and officers of different departments inspected the stalls, interacted with the public and also held discussion with CSO leaders.
Among the others, the programme had Forest department distributing 200 tree saplings, Health department screening 14 people for blood sugar and 10 for hypertension, and blood group testing of an individ ual.
Transport department issued five learner's licenses as PHED conducted three water quality tests and RD& PR issued three work orders.
Meanwhile, Education department distributed one MR kit, three sets of textbook each, three transport and escort allowances each to beneficiaries, one CP chair and a hearing aid to a girl student.
Similar, Social Welfare distributed 10 Chief Minister's Widow Pension Scheme cards and received nine applications, handed over three Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme cards and received 10 applications, six applications for Pension Scheme of PWDs under CMHT and eight applications for care giver allowance for persons with disabilities and 14 CMST applications.
The department has 71 beneficiaries under Mission Vaatsalya Scheme for vulnerable children.
Horticulture & Soil Conservation received 15 applications for fruit and vegetable seedlings.
Meanwhile, ICDS observed Poshan Pakhwada during which a recipe and a healthy child contest was also conducted.
Baby Nengngaichong (girl), baby Koko (bov) and baby Lamdeikim (girl) were selected as first, second and third respectively.
Deputy commissioner, sub-divisional officers and other district level officers and officials of all the line departments of the district interacted and assisted the people who turned up for availing beneficiary schemes.
