ESU seal Women's Football League title

Eastern Sporting Union (ESU) were crowned champions of the 13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2022 on Friday.
Point-table leaders ESU wrapped up their campaign with a 1-0 victory against UPSA in the last match of the Senior Women's Football League to collect three more points.
They were unbeaten through their 12 matches that included 10 wins and two draws to amass 32 points and clinch their well-deserved title.
Runners-up KRYHPSA were six points adrift of the champions, securing 26 points from their 12 games (8 wins, 2 draws & 2 losses) over the course of their campaign.
The Young Welfare Club claimed third place with 24 points, followed by UPSA (17 pts), Manipur Police Sports Club (12), ICSA (5) and Youth Welfare Club (3).In the last day's action of the League, ESU overcame a stiff challenge from UPSA to eke out a 1-0 result.
After a barren first half, the Eastern squad went all out and were rewarded in the 52nd minute.
In a goalmouth melee, they created a space as Sanasam Yailembi Devi was on hand to calmly send the ball into the net.
ESU clung on to ultimately enjoy a memorable day.
