CM Biren meets ADB officials

Imphal, December 16 2022:
In connection with the 'Sustainable Loktak Ecosystem Restoration, Eco-tourism and Livelihood project', which is being taken up under the sponsorship of Asian Development Bank (ADB), Chief Minister N Biren met with ADB officials at the cabinet hall of his Secretariat on Friday.
The project aims to restore the ecology of Loktak lake, thereby furthering the ecotourism of the state and benefitting the livelihood of all those dependent on the Lake.
On the other hand, a review meeting on the projects to be taken up along the national highways passing through the state by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), was held at the Chief Minister Secretariat on Friday.
CM Biren also met with Nagaland ex-CM and NPF Central president Shurhozelie Liezietsu.
The latter congratulated Biren on his second term as the chief minister of Manipur and further discussed the various welfare programmes being taken up for the welfare of different communities in Manipur.
Biren later chaired a meeting on organic and natural farming including its benefits and awareness to the farmers.
Discussions were also held on using organic manure for long-term development of the state's agriculture sector.
