Imphal, February 13, 2013:
BSU Nongpok Kakching handed out a humiliating defeat to YSWC, Sabungkhok by an overwhelming margin of five goals to nil in a Group B match of Chalou Cup today.
The match was a totally one sided affair, with BSU dictating the match and toying around with the players from YSWC, Sabungkhok.
Demonstrating better skills and better team work, BSU outplayed YSWC in every department of the game and pumped in five goals with ease and conceded none.
The flood gates opened as early as the 5th minute of the game when Th Binodkumar slotted home the ball with ease.
With the players of BSU all over the field, L Bobby had little difficulty in wrong footing a couple of defenders of YSWC and was bang on target in the 11th minute.
The goal came off a series of precise passing amongst the forward line of BSU.
Ch Lemba then came into his elements, when he outpaced the defenders of YSWC with ease and disturbed the net to put his team ahead by three goals in the 25th minute.
Not resting on their three goal lead, BSU kept up the attack and after a well co-ordinated move from the mid field, the ball went to an unmarked Th Premjit who faced little opposition in disturbing the net to help take his team a four goal lead.
The attacks continued and L Bobby who was lurking near the penalty box latched onto the ball and found the target in the 33rd minute to finish the rout.
The second half remained barren.
