TKLI appeals against bandh

Tangkhul Katamnao Long Imphal (TKLI) has appealed to all the organisations and associations in Manipur not to impose bandh, strike and blockade during the ensuing class XII and Matric exams to be conducted by COHSEM and BSEM respectively.
In a statement, TKLI President Thotchan Shimray pointed out that the class XII exam will start from February 17 and the Matric exam from February 20.As per the report received from the secretary BSEM, around 34,300 candidates will be appearing in the ensuing Matric exam 2014.This examination is the most important exam in the educational system for building an academic career.
It is an "iron gate" in students' life.
Therefore, imposing bandh, blockade and strike during the examination will cause immense hardship and difficulties to the aspiring candidates.
TKLI has also wished best of luck to all the candidates of the forthcoming examinations.
