CICTA protests

The CI College Teachers' Association (CICTA), Bishnupur protested against the appointment of L Mahendra Singh, Associate Professor, Manipur College, as the Principal-in-charge of the CI college, according to Th Nando Singh, Secretary, CICTA.
The statement said that CICTA had submitted a representation letter to the concerned authority to select the most senior Associate Professor of CI College as the Principal-in-charge.
However, L Mahendra Singh, who neither held a doctorate degree nor was as experienced as other teachers in CI College, was instead appointed.
The statement added that the decision had hurt the morale of the teachers' community of CI college and hoped the concerned authority will reconsider their decision.
