Photo Exhibition on Health opens at Khangshim

Focusing on the gamut of health issues, a five-day photo exhibition on the theme 'Health & Family Welfare' began from today at Khangshim Community Hall in Chandel District.
The campaign which would continue till June 14 was inaugurated by H Khamba, Senior Officer of Model Adult Education Centre, Khanshim as Chief Guest.
The programme is being organized by the Field Exhibition Office, Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Imphal in collaboration with Khangshim Village Authority.
Rolling the campaign into motion, H Khamba said that health should be the top priority of one's life and said that health is necessary for the overall growth and development of human beings.

Pointing out that a healthy body is required for the development of healthy mind and soul, Khamba called for practising healthy habits in order to attain healthy life.
He also noted that the photos which are on display provide good and well meaning information one requires to know for a healthy living and appealed to the gathering to visit the exhibition hall so as to learn many things about health-related issues.
Proposing the keynote address earlier, Dr Gin Gangte, IIS, Field Exhibition Officer, DAVP, Imphal, said that the development of a nation is co-related with the health and well-being of its citizen.
"We can be able to have a healthy nation only when its citizens are healthy", he said.
Quoting the maxim 'Health is Wealth', the Field Exhibition Officer explained that a healthy life is required for achieving success in life.
Sharing the initiative being undertaken by the Government, TS Khaling, Finance Manager, Tengnoupal Block, NRHM, emphasized the important role played by ASHAs and appealed to the public to develop healthy lifestyle.
The programme which was presided over by S.Hat Helen, Headmistress of Khangshim Primary School, was also attended by a number of villagers, social workers, women and school children, while a total of 40 exhibition panels are being displayed during the campaign.
The inauguration programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by H.Deepak Kumar Sharma, IIS, Exhibition Assistant, DAVP, Imphal.
