RPF condoles

The proscribed RPF/PLA has condoled the demise of Sergeant Prem (real name Okram Pari) s/o Late O Tomba and late Okram (O) Radhe of Sagolmang Mamang Leikai.
According to a press release issued by the outfit's Department of Publicity Chief Bangkim, Sgt Prem was killed in a gun battle between a team of PLA's Tactical Command and troops of 44 Assam Rifles at a place between Kamjong and Kongkan at around 5.10 am of March 31 last.
In addition to killing four AR personnel, one AK-47 rifle belonging to AR troops was confiscated by PLA cadres, claimed the outfit.
Sgt Prem joined RPF/PLA on February 20, 2007.After completing basic military training on June 5, 2007, the PLA's war office allotted army no 2909 to Prem.
After this Okram Prem worked in different units of the outfit in different capacities.
He also took part in a series of offensive against Indian military forces.
He also took active roles in Operation Leopard and Operation Willy Civet.
Sgt Prem was a cool-headed, honest and well-disciplined 'freedom fighter' who was dedicated to the cause of the masses and the party.
Condolence service in honour of the departed soul of Sgt Prem has been held in all units, departments and stations of the party, it conveyed.
