ATSUM's Open Dialogue Frank discussion mooted

Considering the misunder-standing and misinterpretation of various issues of Manipur which have allegedly misled and misguided the common people, the All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM) is all set to organize a one day Open Dialogue on April 11 at TRI, Chingmeirong.
ATSUM President Emboi Serto said that any issue pertaining to Manipur has come close to hurting one another and added that the open dialogue has been called to discuss the various ways on how to approach such issues in the future.
Soliciting the co-operation of senior citizens, academicians, civil society organizations and other experts to participate in the open dialogue, Serto said that if the present situation is not discussed threadbare in a free and open manner then there is every chance that the differences between communities, organizations and societies can widen and take the ugliest form.
Highlighting some of the issues to be discussed in the open dialogue the ATSUM leader said that among others issues concerning Mission/private schools, bomb blasts in public places, Meetei Mayek, bandhs and blockades, Autonomous District Council and Sixth Schedule as well as disparity in development, misuse and diversion of funds need to be deliberated.
Calling for unity and integrity among the people of Manipur, the student body appealed to every civil society organizations, clubs, associations, etc not to call any kind of bandh and strike on April 11 so as to ensure a smooth dialogue in the interest of the people of Manipur.
