Sub junior Volleyball: YMDO (A) to encounter NYVA in final

YMDO (A) Heirangoithong and NYVA Naorm will play the final match for the 2nd Sub-Junior Boys Volleyball Trophy at Soudongpung Ground on Marhc 5 .
NYVA Naorm entered the final after overcoming stiff resistance from KLYA Nambol Khoi Leika in a grueling four set semi final match.
Both the teams closely fought the first set but the tenacity of NYVA players made NTVA seal the set at 25-21.Buoyed by victory in first set NYVA comfortably pocket the second set at 25-17 .
KLYA Nambol, at the prospect of losing the match, fought back with purpose to stay in the championship.
The effort paid off when NYVA was defeated in 25-18 in the third set to make it 2-1 .
Stunned by the returned of form of KLYA, NYVA recomposed and played the fourth set with an intention not to extend the match any longer.
On the other side, KLYA was fuel by the success in the third set and played the set with equal measure.
No team could take sizeable lead over the other and both teams earned their point with labour.
The set could not be decided in the regulation time and was extended to tiebreaker and kept the crowd fixed on their seats.
Finally, NYVA hold their nerves, to the delight of their supporters, crossed the final hurdle at 34-32 to march into the final.
In the second semi final match, YMDO (A) Heirangoithok recovered from slow start to beat IGO Oinam in four set to set up the title clash against NYVA Naorem.
IGO beat YMDO by 25-22 in the first set but recovered to take the next three subsequent sets.
YMDO defeated IGO in the second set in identical points at 25-22 to bring parity in the match.
Intoxicated by the victory YMDO dusted IGO in the third set at 25-13 to move closer to the final.
At the prospect of settling as the second best team in the match, IGO regrouped and played the set with an intention.
YMDO and IGO fought hard for each point that extent the limits of the players to the amusement of the capacity crowd.
Sudden lapse in concentration cost the match for IGO when YMDO suddenly surged ahead to finished the set and match at 25-23 for a place in final.
