4th BJP MLA steps down

Khwairakpam Raghumani, elected from Uripok AC, has become the 4th BJP MLA to step down from administrative or advisory posts of the State Government.
Earlier, Thokchom Radheshyam (Heirok AC) had resigned from being Advisor to the Chief Minister before Karam Shyam (Langthabal AC) and Paonam Brojen (Wangjing-Tentha AC) stepped down from the chairmanship of Tourism Corporation Limited and Manipur Development Society respectively.
Khwairakpam Raghu-mani too has stepped down from the post of MANIREDA Chairman.
Raghumani, who is currently at Delhi, dispatched his resignation letter to Chief Minister N Biren today.
According to the resignation letter, Khwairakpam Raghumani decided to give up the post of MANIREDA Chairman due to certain personal reasons and in the interest of the public.
"My continuance as MANIREDA Chairman is not called for at this juncture", Raghumani said in his resignation letter.
