Best fish farmer award

Salam Rohendro Singh, a progressive fish farmer from Manipur has bagged Hari-charan Das Best Progressive Fish Farmer Award, 2022 .
The award was conferred during an international conference on "Responsible Aquaculture and Sustainable Fisheries Interact (RASHI)" jointly organized by the College of Fisheries, Tripura; College of Fisheries Lembucherra Alumni Association (COFLA) and North East Society for Fisheries and Aquaculture, India at Agartala, today.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000, a citation and a trophy.
Salam Rohendro Singh is a progressive fish farmer from Laphupat Tera Mayai Leikai under Imphal West district.
Rohendro Singh has five hectares for culturing various commercially important and indigenous fish species like IMCs, exotic carps, osteobrama belangeri, banganadero, lebogonius and wallago attu (sareng) .
He is also a recipient of different prizes for producing high quantity of fishes at a fish fair organized by the Fishery Department in 2021 and Progressive Farmer Award (2021-22) conferred by the ICAR.
