Former Minister passes away

Imphal, December 13 2022:
Former Minister Elangbam Biramani Singh passed away at his Langmeidong Bazar residence today.
He was 87 .
He is survived by his wife, three sons and three daughters.
He was first elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly from Hiyanglam AC in 1984 and went on to become Minister of State for Agriculture, Horticulture and Fishery.
He was re-elected in 1990 and served as the Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly.
Elangbam Biramani was re-elected for the third time in 2002 and served as Revenue Minister.
Meanwhile, Speaker Th Satyabrata Singh has condoled the demise of Elang- bam Biramani.
Sharing the grief of the bereaved family members, near and dear ones, the Speaker prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace.
