Thoubal, December 13 2022:
While informing that a group of people who claimed to be Tamils and opening a shop named M/S Sagar Traders in Thoubal Melaground have fled after taking money from the people, Thoubal Apunba Lup (TAL) has alerted the people from such fraudulent traders.
Speaking to media persons at Thoubal Achouba community hall, TAL spokesperson W Romeswor informed that M/s Sagar Traders was opened last month at Thoubal Mela ground.
It gave discount on various products but took the payment in advance and delivered the products after 10/15 days to the customers.
Upon knowing it, members of TAL visited the shop and instructed not to continue such practice.
Moreover, Thoubal deputy commissioner and SP were also informed through written memo.
However, the traders continued the same system of selling the products without any hesitation, he recalled, while informing that the members visited the shop for the second time and reiterated to stop the practice.
Suddenly, the shop was found closed from Tuesday and the plot owner of the shop and customers who paid for the products failed to contact them, thus fleeing away with the money collected from the people, he denounced, while alerting people from such fraudulent traders.
Romeswor further urged authorities concerned to take up necessary actions as the so-called traders have duped the people.
