Career counselling programme for youth held

Kamjong, December 13 2022:
District Skill Committee, Kamjong organised an 'Employment Linked Career Counselling Programme' at Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Imphal for the welfare of unemployed youth.
Speaking on the Occasion, DC Kamjong Rangnamei Rang Peter encouraged the youth to grab opportunities being offered right at their doorsteps and to avail the most out of it.
He expressed his delight at the diverse trainings that have been offered by the participating partners and further appealed to them to walk the extra mile by working at the grassroots level to help the youth to find themselves stable careers.
He also appealed to the student union leaders of the district to collaborate with the training partners and counsellors to help spread the awareness reach every nook and corner of the district, and to publicise about the various skill courses available through meetings and social media.
ADC and nodal officer of District Skill Committee, Kamjong, Ningreingam Leisan emphasised on the importance of skilling and encouraged the youth to take up more skilling courses to increase employability and employment chances in every possible sector.
He reminded the youth that every profession is noble and encouraged to identify the course that best suit one's interest and to make the utmost use of the programme.
Training providers such as NIELIT, CIPET, JCRE Skill Solution, Emporium Skill Training Institute and DDU GKY sensitised the participants on various training courses available and also shared various success stories.
On-spot registrations were also made available to interested youth.
The programme was coordinated by Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow from Kamjong district Kashing Shingnaisui.
