Career counselling programme for youths of Kamjong conducted

An "Employment Linked Career Counselling Programme" was held today at Tribal Research Institute, Imphal by the District Skill Committee, Kamjong for the welfare of the unemployed youths.
Speaking at the function, Deputy Commissioner of Kamjong, Rangnamei Rang Peter (IAS) encouraged the youths to grab the opportunity being offered right at their doorsteps and to avail the most out of it.
He expressed his delight at the diverse training that have been offered by the participating partners and earnestly appealed to all to walk the extra mile by working at the grassroots level to help the youths to pursue stable careers.

He also appealed to the student union leaders of the district to collaborate with the training partners and counsellors to raise awareness and to publicise the various skill courses available through meetings and social media.
Ningreingam Leisan, ADM and Nodal officer of DSC, emphasized on the importance of skilling and encouraged the youths to take up more skilling courses to increase the employability and employment chances in every possible sector.
Training providers such as NIELIT, CIPET, JCRE Skill Solution, Emporium Skill Training Institute and DDU GKY sensitized the attendees on the various training courses available and also shared various success stories.
Moreover, on the spot registrations for training was also done.
The programme was coordinated by Ms Kashing Shingnaisui, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow, Kamjong District.
