Lions Club of Imphal Valley continues "Service from the Heart" activities

Lions Club of Imphal Valley organised "Service from the Heart" by distributing edible items including rice, dal, potato, vegetables, snacks at the Hope Home, Takyel Khongbal, Langjing in Imphal West district today.
The programme has been organised in honour of the official visitation of the club by District Governor, Lion Dr W Gopimohon Singh, PMJF as a part of service to the humanity under Lions Clubs International District-322D, said a press release by Lions Club of Imphal Valley.
The visiting District Governor addressed the simple function and expressed his gratitude to the Club for organising such a solemn function for the needy inmates.
He wished the children of the home good health and conveyed that any health issues of the inmates including vision related can be delivered by the Lions in future.
Later in the evening, Lion Dr W Gopimohon Singh, District Governor, District 322D carried out the official visitation of two clubs namely Lions Club of Imphal Valley and Lions Club of Imphal North at Hotel Nirmala.
The programme was attended by Vice District Governor II, Lion Th Kesho Singh, Past District Governor, Lion H Manikumar and other district cabinet members and invitees.
The District Governor held a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Clubs and stressed the need of Lionistic activities to serve the society for the needy people with Lionistic projects viz Hunger Vision, Diabetes, Environment, Paediatric Cancer.
He also urged the clubs to maintain good position by holding regular meetings along with conduct of regular service activities for the society.
District Governor, Lion Dr W Gopimohon, expressed special appreciation for Lions Club of Imphal Valley for coming up to sponsor a new speciality club at Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar with the active initiation of Region Chairperson, Lion Dr N Romi Singh.
He also thanked the two clubs for executing different service activities as per Lionistic goals and for donating generously to Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and District Fund Foundation (DFF) in true spirit of lionism.
