Manipur has achieved another health award for achieving the target for operationalization of AB-Health & Wellness Centre.
The award was handed over to Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh on the closing day of the Universal Health Coverage Day, 2022 which was held at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, today.
The State was also honored as the best State for Tele-Consultation amongst the small States of India on the first day.
The Centre has so far approved 345 SHCs, 85 PHCs and 9 UPHCs out of which 308 SHCs, 87 PHCs and 9 UPHCs have been made operational in the State as on December 6, 2022 .
The award for achieving the target for operationa-lization of AB-Health & Wellness Centre was handed over to Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan and SMD, National Health Mission Manipur, Dr N Somorjit by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya.
The Ministerial team from Manipur also had a detailed discussion with the Union Health Minister on implementation of various health programmes.
