Medical camp organised under CAP

Imphal, October 31 2022:
Joupi Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a medical camp under Assam Rifles' Civic Aid Programme (CAP) at Hengshi village in Chandel district on Sunday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the camp was conducted by a team of well qualified doctor, nursing assistants and para medical staff of Joupi Battalion.
A total of 156 patients including 57 females and 44 children from nearby villages attended the medical camp.
The patients were given on the spot treatment for their ailments and essential medicines were also provided.
All those patients who needed follow up and further medication or specialised treatments were referred to District Hospital.
Villagers from remote areas of Tolbung, Tuijang and Hol-lengjang of Chandel district also attended the camp.
The village chiefs acknowledged the efforts made by the medical team in organising the camp in a remote area where the nearest medical facility is about 50 km away.
The chief assured to provide any support to the Battalion in all their efforts to maintain peace and tranquillity in the region, the PRO said.
