RIMS' campaign for waste disposal concludes

The closing ceremony of a month-long Special Campaign 2.0 for disposal of pending matters, which commenced from October 2, was held at the Jubilee Hall of RIMS on Monday.
Speaking at the valedictory programme, RIMS director Prof L Ranjit Singh expressed elation that RIMS Hospital has undergone significant changes since its inception in 1977.While commending efforts of his predecessor and initiatives to help RIMS Hospital become very neat and clean, the incumbent director also stressed the importance of teamwork and collaboration among staffers to accomplish all the tasks needed for maintaining cleanliness at the RIMS Hospital and its surroundings.
He said: "We should work tirelessly and strive till we achieve the Kayakalp award".
Prof Ranjit also thanked all the staffers of CRED and MSS for keeping the RIMS Hospital clean.
Meanwhile, RIMS superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh highlighted the importance of Swachhta Action Plan saying it helped RIMS Hospital in maintaining clean environment under the Kayakalp programme.
He also made special mention of four entrepreneurs of "Package Drinking Water Bottles and Allied Industries" who donated five plastic bottle banks for disposal of plastic bottles and mentioned that three places of garbage will be transform into gardens.
The programme was attended by Prof Y Govindaraj Singh, nodal officer SAP 2022-23/Kayakalp RIMS, faculty members, officials, staff of Manipur Security Services and CRED.
Meanwhile, a farewell function was held in honour of renowned Dr Prof Ngangbam Taruni Devi, Department of Medicine (RIMS), who had Served for about 38 years at the institute before her superannuation on Monday.
The event held at new the examination hall of RIMS, was attended by RIMS director, medical superintendent, DDA (admn), CAO/ FA, staff and faculty members, according to a RIMS press release.
