DMUTA suspends boycott

Dhanamanjuri University Teachers' Association (DMUTA) has resolved to suspend the ongoing boycott of the PG and PhD/Research related activities of DMU.
A press release by the convenor general of DMUTA said that the above resolution was taken during the emergency executive committee meeting of DMUTA held today.
The meeting also resolved that the teachers of the five constituent colleges of DMU shall exercise the option for absorption in DMU in honour of the conditions agreed in the joint meeting held yesterday under the aegis of the Education Minister.
Further it was resolved that teachers of five constituent colleges of DMU shall continue to wear black badges till the issue of bifurcation and absorption is settled properly.
It may be noted that a team of DMUTA met the Education Minister yesterday in his office chamber in the presence of Vice-chancellor of DMU, Commissioner (HTE), Director (UHE), Registrar (DMU) and Additional Director (UHE) in connection with the ongoing agitation of DMUTA.
DMUTA also extended gratitude to the Education Minister for his assurance in respect to its demands and expressed belief that he will amicably resolve the issue, added the release.
